Each Plus One woofer boasts a significantly larger cone than speakers of similar size, resulting in a boatload of “punch” that complements the speaker’s smooth and tactile high-frequency delivery.
The speakers can handle 45 watts RMS (continuous) of power, and while they will work just fine with an external amplifier, they also happen to be a good companion for a factory or even aftermarket head unit on its own. Further, the three (3)-ohm impedance of the 6422 ensures that the speaker wire in your vehicle “sees” an actual four (4)-ohm impedance – this means more volume can be squeezed out of your system.
Grilles are not included, but most vehicles’ factory grilles will work just fine for general installations.
