Table of Contents
Morel Maximo Ultra Series
The Maximo Series is a significant improvement over factory sound. If you’ve ever wondered what aftermarket speakers could do for your vehicle’s audio system, these speakers provide a night-and-day improvement in sound quality.
The soft dome tweeter and treated paper composite woofer cone produce outstanding full-range sound. Morel uses an MXR crossover in their component systems to give an optimal combination of highs and lows for a strong stereo image.
Sizes
The Maximo Ultra series speakers are available in a few different size ranges to ensure they fit most cars. The available size ranges 5″ & 6″ 2-way component system, 6″ 3-way component system, and 4″, 5″, 6″ and 6*9″ coaxial speakers.
Power
When it comes to power, the Maximo Ultra Series speakers seem to perform reasonably well. These crisp sounding speakers offer peak power handling of 180 watts and Max RMS of 90 Watts.
Component and Coaxial Ratio
2-way component systems and coaxial speakers are part of the new MAXIMO ULTRA series. Two-component and 4 coaxial Maximo Ultra speaker options are available in 5″ & 6″ sizes for component and 4″, 5″, 6″ and 6*9″ for coaxial speakers.
Price
The Maximo Ultra series speakers offer a great improvement over factory sound. However, this means that they are a little pricier than the cheapest options on the market. The price range for the Maximo Ultra series speakers is $259-$449.
Design and Appearance
The tweeter design of the Maximo Ultra sets new benchmarks for power handling and low distortion at this pricing point, all while offering a delightful music sound rendition. Its four mounting options make the setup straightforward.
The new design employs a specially treated paper cone and a computer-modeled suspension for extreme linear movement at low middle frequencies, eliminating distortion and boosting bass dynamics.
Morel Tempo Ultra Series
The Tempo Ultra Series, like the Maximo Ultra Series, has an MXR crossover, soft dome tweeter, and treated paper composite woofer. However, it has more power handling, making it ideal for use with an aftermarket amp. If you’re looking for coaxial speakers, this series gives you the first chance to hear Morel’s Integra design.
Sizes
To ensure it fits several factory settings and has efficient sizing, the Tempo Ultra Series speaker is available in several size ranges. The available size ranges for the Ultra Series speakers are 5”, 6”, 5×7”, and 6×9”.
Power
The Tempo Ultra Series speakers perform very well in terms of power. The peak power handling of these speakers is 250 watts with a Max RMS of 130 watts.
Component and Coaxial Ratio
The Tempo Ultra Series speakers are available in both component and coaxial options. The coaxial and component speakers are both available in 2-way configurations in 5¼”, 6½”, 5×7″, and 6×9″ sizes.
Price
The Tempo Ultra Series speakers are quite similar to the Maximo Ultra series in terms of pricing. You can buy these speakers for a price between $400 and $459.
Design and Appearance
Within its pricing range, the Motel Tempo Ultra 602 is one of the most powerful component systems. It has a 1-1/2′′ voice coil and a powerful magnet, which allows it to handle a lot of power. The Morel Tempo 602 boasts cutting-edge technology and a striking design that commands your attention and is well worth your money.
Morel Hybrid Series
Morel’s Hybrid Series has big Acuflex coated soft dome tweeters, an EVC motor with a Hexatech aluminum voice coil, and a C.A.R. filter for improved performance. If you give the Hybrid Series speakers additional power, they will make good use of it, converting all of that energy into high-quality sound.
Sizes
The Hybrid Series speakers are available in several sizes to ensure they fit most cars. The available size ranges for these speakers include 4″, 4″ slim, 5” and 6” diameter.
Power
With the Hybrid Series speakers, you can expect exceptional audio output and extremely powerful sounds. This is because these speakers have a peak power handling of 600 watts and Max RMS of 300 watts. You won’t find many speakers with this kind of power handling.
Coaxial and Component Ratio
The Hybrid Series speakers are available in both component and coaxial options. Like the Tempo Ultra Series speakers series, the coaxial and component speakers of the Hybrid series are both available in 2-way configurations. However, the sizes differ for this series, i.e. the available sizes are 4″, 5¼”, and 6½”.
Price
The price of the Hybrid Series speakers is on the higher side. They are much more expensive than the Maximo and Temp Ultra series. You will have to pay between $800 and $900 to get your hands on these speakers and enjoy the powerful sounds they offer.
Design and Appearance
There are two great things about the Hybrid Series speakers design. The first is a one-piece damped polymer woofer cone that improves overall accuracy and longevity. The other is a hybrid magnet motor, which increases motor efficiency by combining ferrite and neodymium magnets. Moreover, the C.A.R. filter, which is patented, enhances acoustic loading by managing airflow within the driver, simulating the effects of a sealed enclosure while enhancing power management.
Morel Virtus Series
The Virtus Series speakers take you to the next level of the Morel experience, with some unique options for custom installation that you won’t find anywhere else. However, the debut of Virtus Nano, which enables you to fit 6-1/2″ speakers where 6-1/2″ speakers have never been before, is the most fascinating thing that happens with the Virtus Series.
The woven carbon fiber woofer has an incredible depth of 11/16”, allowing installation in the most unusual places. For even greater space efficiency, the Nano’s coaxial version utilizes the Integra design.
Sizes
The Virtus Series speakers are available in several different size ranges to fit the needs of different car owners. The available sizes for these speakers are 4″, 5¼”, and 6½.
Power
Although it is not as powerful as the Hybrid series, the Virtus Series packs a great punch by offering peaking power handling of 300 watts and a Max RMS of 140.
Coaxial and Component Ratio
The Virtus Series speakers come in only component options. The configurations for these component speakers include 2-way and 3-way speakers in 4″, 5¼”, and 6½ sizes.
Price
The price of the Virtus Series speakers varies. Some of the speakers in the series match the price range of the Maximo and Tempo Ultra series, while others cost as much as the Hybrid series. The price range for the Virtus Series speakers is $339-$799.
Design and Appearance
The Virtus Series speakers are an embodiment of today’s unique speaker design and innovation. They have an enviable design comprising of acuflex-coated soft dome tweeters, lotus grilles, C.A.R filter, and EVC motor with a Hexatech aluminum voice coil. Virtus can deliver emotion to music through a blend of the rich, natural middle, high-frequency detail, and booming bass thanks to this combination of design and technology.
Morel Elate Series
Carbon fiber is employed as a woofer element by Morel in other series, but the Elate Carbon Series improves on it. Dual-layered carbon fiber/Rohacell (foam) woofer architecture eliminates distortion and encourages accurate acoustic reproduction in this component-only series.
Morel designed these speakers to be neutral without colouration, allowing you to use an active crossover to produce the perfect sound for you and your vehicle.
Sizes
The Elate Series speakers are available in several sizes to allow you to fit these speakers into your car. The available sizes that you can choose from include 5¼”, 6½, and 8¾ sizes.
Power
You will not find more powerful Morel speakers than the ones in the Elate Series. Not only do these speakers produce sound with minimal distortion, but they can ensure crisp audio at increased sounds. This is because the Elate Series speakers have a peak power handling of 1000 watts and a Max RMS of 200.
Coaxial and Component Ratio
Like the Virtus Series speakers, the Elate Series speakers are only available in component options. The component options are available in 2-way and 3-way configurations in 5¼”, 6½, and 8¾ sizes.
Price
The Elate series offers a lot in terms of sizes, power, and features, so it is natural for these speakers to be priced higher than the other series. You will have to pay a handsome amount to get your hands on the Elate Series speakers as the price range for these speakers is $1,500-$2,500.
Design and Appearance
Elate Carbon is a significant improvement in tweeter design. The Acuflex coating on Morel’s MT450 silk dome tweeter is combined with an open-cavity design inspired by their flagship Supremo Piccolo tweeters. Morel engineered these for a very low crossover point, which enhances soundstage precision for even the most complex music.
